A Laboratory Operated by and for Physicians

From day one, CML has been uniquely positioned to understand and respond to the needs of practising physicians in Ontario. The founder, John D. Mull, is a 1957 graduate of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, and completed his training in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Michigan. Dr. Mull engaged in research which led to the publication of 15 papers in various medical journals. He returned to Canada in 1965 where he obtained his FRCP(C) in pathology and joined the staff at Norfolk General Hospital (Simcoe), West Haldimand General Hospital (Hagersville) and the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital. Since founding CML, Dr Mull has continued to provide daily leadership, playing an active role in the technical and service aspects of the Company and editing The Laboratory Consultant.

Our Medical Director, Dr. Philip Stuart, MD, PhD, FRCP(C) is an alumnus of both Columbia University and the University of Toronto, where he did his residency. Following research stints in Urology, Microbiology and Tropical Medicine, he spent a decade as Lecturer/Assistant Professor, Departments of Microbiology and Medicine at the University of Toronto. He now combines his role of Medical Director at CML with a private practice specializing in Infectious, Tropical & Parasitic Diseases and Travellers' Health. He is also Editor of the CML LabNews and is much in demand as a speaker.

Elsewhere within this presentation folder we have included the names of just a few of the many physicians who form a vital part of our organization. The medical directors and regional consultants who interpret patients' ECG, Holter and Spirometry tests help to ensure that - as a medical testing laboratory - we properly meet and exceed the highest standards.

CML began as a physician-operated lab and we recognize that our reputation and acceptance after over 25 years in Ontario is a tribute to the many physicians as well as dedicated employees who have helped make us what we are today... a Quality Health Care Company.
